In Year 2 we explored the ways in which communication has changed throughout history. We have learned about the existence of hieroglyphics in ancient Egypt, the introduction of the printing press in England and the invention of the telephone and the World Wide Web. During our learning journey we have also explored different ways for people with different abilities to communicate. We have actively learned how blind people read and are able to carry a social life using the Braille system. We have use the system to write our names and gave texture to them using lentils. Here are some of our works done by gluing the lentils to the six-dot braille cells!
